This looks like the real deal, but without talking to Soldano, take it for what it's worth.

Some of you may know about this amp. But for those who don't, this looks exactly like the SLO that was built for Stevie Ray Vaugh by Mike Soldano. It's a one off piece. If you look at the rear you will see the voicing switch that was used to alter the eq curve between stock SLO and "Tweed" values.

And no, I'm not the seller. just thought you might be interested.

Seller says he's the original owner? Is SRV back from the dead?!?!

I thought Mike had the SRV SLO...

He did last time I was over there...
He let me take that SLO home for quite a while....did a few gigs with it...
I dont remember his having that switch on the back though...could be wrong..its been several years... :D
The original one had a dent on the top front....one of my friends made a pretty bad joke about that dent...wondering if it was from a helicopter blade..

I don't see SRV mentioned, and it says made in 2004

I don't remember ever reading or hearing that SRV played a SLO or was going to?

there was an article on the SRV SLO in GW a few months ago...maybe a year...

he had soldano build it but he never took possession of it.

i think the only similarity between these 2 amps is that they both have tweed coverings

I heard that SRV did get it but never really used it and Soldano got it back after he died. I saw Mike do a gig with it back in '01.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to look for that issue. I just can't imagine SRV playing a SLO!

That tweed is cool on an SLO, Id pick that up if I had the cash.

There have been stranger things happen (Clapton playing a SLO!)

Yeah, from that article, it seems alot of the blues guys tried the SLO in the late 80's.

i stand corrected
No worries. Thanks for the heads up about the GW article as I only heard that from my friend who's band was playing after Soldano at the same show, that it was SRV's SLO he was using and that he got it back after SRV passed.
