I am not satisfied with my stereo set up with the Boss EVH SDE-3000.
i have it in the effects loop fed by stereo boss modulation MD 500 and after the SDSe 3000 i have the boss RV-6 stereo reverb.
I have a Marshall dSL100 ( running @50 watts) and an EVH 5150.

The sound is ok but the SDE-3000 is overpowering even when the output level is lowered down as long as 7-8 on settings. (Even with other effects off)
I recorded a recent gig and the guitar sounds a million miles away, lacking punch.

I am wondering if i am simply missing something in my set up or programming of the unit.

I can definitely speak to this and had the same problem when I owned the EVH SDE-3000.

When i would be running a stereo setup with my EVH 5150-III 50 watt and my Orange Super Crush 100, it would be too loud. I think it is something with the 5150-III effects loop. I'm not sure if it does it with two 5150-III amps together but when I ran my Orange Super Crush with any other amp and the SDE-3000, it sounded amazing. I'd try it with another amp.

I don't have the SDE-3000 anymore but if you search here on the forum, you'll see what the issue was in more detail.

I found the old post I had:

Thanks for this comment.

I have definitely noticed the delay is substantially louder out of the EVH 5150 than out of the marshall.

I also much prefer the marshall tone so my answer is to swap in another head.

Yeah I would do that. I know that people have said that it is beat to have two same amps together because then you know the effects loops will work together.
