I need to admit epic fail on my part.SS has always been around but i never gave him a chance.

Not a Billy Idol fan at all.i love punk,but Idols previous band didn't cut it for me.so then his poppy solo stuff wasnt on my agenda either.

Vince Neil!!??.not the greatest vocalist.didnt even give his solo career with Steve a shot either.one song,one video,not for me.

Atomic Playboys!!??.will check them out.

I read some interviews with Steve,i remember when Flamenco-a-go-go came out,but didnt bother as i was into other things.

Steve playing on PT's Cd sparked my interest and i seen some youtube stuff and thought " damn,this cat can play".then i seen the Friedman prototype vid and holy shit someone punch me in the face.
bought the memory crash cd off itunes today.
Great playing and tones.awesome melodies.couldnt stop listening to it as i was driving thru OK and MO today.really kicked my ass.which i needed,cuz it knocked my head out of it.

Recommend it.check it out.thx to RT for turning me onto another guitarist i missed out on.

Im a HUGE fan of SS, one of my all time favorite players. His work on Vince Neil's exposed KILLED, same on Atomic Playboys and Memory Crash and Flamenco a go go are must haves..

In a sea of great players, Steve really stands out IMHO...

STEVE STEVENS IS THE SHIT!

Definitely one of my top 5 influences of my style of playing. Note the BK Rebel Yell engraved pup covers....

I've loved SS stuff from idol to memory crash. Great tone, great style. Flamenco a go go brilliant. When he left idol seems like he could have had any singer that was available. Too bad he ended up with twith that singer. I gotta say, I think one of the best albums he did was the vince Neil album. Great tone, great playing. A little bit of everything on there. I have a couple of bootleg DVD. From that tour and he kills it live. He is awesome. I hope we don't have to wait too much longer for his next album.

Many men will not approve of Steve's captain caveman treatment of that nice LP custom, he could have seriously scratched it thus reducing it's value.
