Steve Stevens rig rundown

Interesting Eq pedal. It’s like 50 bucks.

SS must have done really well to drag around all that crap plus some guy to maintain it..

Theu didn't mention it in the video but is he back to missing cab/s now or still using the captorX ?

Start at about 11:30, he says there is a BE100 and a SS100 each into a Red Seven load box with IRs. Everything is stereo, one amp on the left and the other one on the right. They talk about him having stereo monitors. They don't even use the loops on the amps.

Ok I must have missed that or jumped in the vid.. That's the thing with Two Notes, the generic load is good for a wide variety of cabs but some of the other loads are a bit better.

More detail on Premier Guitar Website. They go through a Neve Pre with EQ as well. Adds some mojo I suppose. Interesting too as alund mentioned, the cheapo EQ. I thought he was always going on about his black GE-7 that was modded or the Rocket sig stuff.

Way too many gizmo's. I know he can play but, can he sound good without all the processing?

Think about all those super guitar hero's, VH, SRV, Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix. You know what they all had in common?

I like SS but he will never be in that historic category. He will be lumped in with Satch and Via.

I think his lead chops technically are def overrated and I see the same 3-4 things he does just about every solo so I agree, not the level of the guys you mentioned but def a solid foot note due the the material he has written which has stood the test of time. He's a great player for the song. I think we can all agree with that. I also think that a lot of those effects he uses on one part of one song in an entire set so they are more like flavors vs staples.
