Still Practicing 18 Months Post Surgery.

It has been about 18 months since I had Carpal Tunnel surgery on my right hand.

It is just starting to synchronize with my left hand. I have far to go but am making progress. The best way to explain it is to say my right hand feels like the steering wheel when the tie rod has fallen off.😳

Good job. I can't tell but when you go to tremolo picking do you invert the pick? And then flip it back to 'normal' for sweeps? Or is the pick always slanted the same way?

@SpiderWars

Thank you. For sweeps the pick is nearly parallel to the strings. The angle of the pick will travel from parallel to 90* depending on legato, staccato or any other picking style as many patters are used when playing. This in fact is what I am tightening up on as the right hand became/is very sloppy since surgery. The angle of attack may very within a measure up to 32nd notes. 64th notes have less resistance with the pick turned on its edge then paralleled with a single sweep then back to 90* on the edge. This must flow. I have been trying to exercise with complex patterns.

I hope I answered your questions.

Thanks for listening & posting.
