With all the JMP talk on the forum, made a quick clip of my completely stock '79 JMP 2203 with 6550's.

As stated amp is stock, boosted with a Boss SD-1 and EQ pedal through the front end (of course, no loop).

Just a disclaimer the volume for this clip was "tv volume" under 1 at the time I recorded it, the pedals added some high end and additional saturation.

If I had the house to myself I would have bumped up the volume some...

Sounds killer, big fat chunk, making me want one even more!

Bitch'in  What are your settings on the amp?

sounds like a boosted marshall to me, sounds real big too, love the depth of the tone

that has to be the signature tone of 6550's, ive yet to hear a 6550 loaded amp that didnt have that character

That is some great tone there my friend.....Sounds freakin killer

Quite the collection you are working on Tom!

Sounds good, get the volume up!

im so close to buying one of these...there's one locally and it's bone stock... even all the tubes...and im REALLY REALLY considering trading a few things and splurging for it. for 650.

For 650, you better snap that thing up or somebody else will.

Umm... What he said! :D

i have to go check her out first though....something seemed fishy about it being 650..at least to me.

i've emailed the guy a few times, and lately, haven't heard back.

Man I am not a Marshall guy at all, but that is a fantastic sounding amp!

I'd love to hear it with the volume up

Great tone and I really appreciated the playing too. You can really get a feel for the tone and voicing of the amp when it isn't all meedly weedly.
