Strat + High Gain Amp = Sweet?

As far as tone is concerned, there is no substitue for true single coils....if you can stand the noise LOL. My strat with CS69's is just awesome, but mighty noisey. The Dimarzio Area's are cool, but I replaced them with the 69's and I'm much happier now.

Any one ever tried the duncan pickup booster? They claim the switch on it will make a single sound like a humbucker. Wondering if it would work when you need the bridge thickened for a rythem tone.

Kinda thought it sounded too good to be true. Thanks.

Give the Bare Knuckle Sinner Set a try. Sounds great & you still get some quack in 2 & 4 positions.

I've never been crazy about the sound of strat singles and high gain. Maybe I just haven't found the right ones. I love my humbuckers for high gain and my singlecoils for clean to low gain stuff
