I really like the Strymon stuff. I think their pedals sound better to me than Eventide or anything TC Electronics has out. I'd love to get the Timeline and Mobius............but I keep thinking to myself that over $900 for 2 pedals is insane. And the TC pedals are pretty damm good in their own right. I mean, a used Flashback AND a HOF reverb both run you about $200. There's still $250 left to even reach the price of the Timeline.

Everything about the Mobius sounds great, but then I think about how much I used modulation and it's really not that much, just some spots here or there. One thing though I could see the Strymon stuff ending the pedal flip cycle for me, at least for a while.

My thoughts exactly. I think the Mobius sounds amazing but I wouldn't get my $ worth. Do you have any Strymon stuff now? If I hadn't gotten the El Cap in a trade I'd be saving for a Timeline. Still might eventually. I wish they'd make a rack unit with all of their effects at a decent price. I'd be all over that.

Same here. Those 2 pedals could pretty much do what I need, but so could much less expensive ones. Not sure I would use all the bells and whistles enough to warrant getting them since I already have so much stuff. Would like to try one first but that probably isn't realistic.

Mobius---unnecessary.

For you maybe... For me, its awesome. I get to have all the stunning Modulation effects that I love in a small MIDI controlled footprint and it does them all amazingly well. Its actually , more cost effective for me...

Exactly why I went the Timeline/Mobius route. The midi flexibility and mix levels are essential for me.

It really comes down to what you use as a player and what you can get the most out of for what you know. For someone who uses effects as a way to inspire playing the strymon effects might be a bit much. Likewise with someone who does not use the type of effects offered much or effects in general much at all as well. However for those who know what they are looking for and have spent a good amount of time doing the research then it can easily become a powerful tool in the arsenal to use as the player seems fit.

Yep, it's all about the player. If you use modulation a lot, than hell yeah it doesn't get much better! For some, anything more than a single channel amp is unnecessary.

You getting one? One positive is these 2 pedals can clean up a big mess. Last year I had soo many damm pedals I had to use a Pedal Power 2 and the ISO5, with a bunch of lava patch cables.

Oh great. Now I'm going to play it and want it. Gotta run the Electra Dyne and Royal Atlantic in stereo with it.

LOVE the Timeline on my pedalboard. Tempted to pull my 2290 from the rack and install a Timeline there as well.

I thought about that as well, but I figured I still use the 2 spaces for the Timeline. So, I really wouldn't save any space. Plus I love the 2290.

I can't speak on the Möbius, as I have only heard clips. I have owned the Timeline for around 6 mos now and the end of the honeymoon is nowhere in sight. If I lost mine, and it took twice the original cost to replace it, I would. My search for the perfect delay ended when I got the Timeline. I can't imagine any player being disappointed with it. The level of control and tweakability that is available to the user make it easy to personalize, and incorporate into any rig. If you don't want to spend that much for a delay, then don't ever plug into a timeline. :D
