Studio One becomes Fender Studio and people lose their minds

Not to get kicked out of yet another forum, but just slapping the name "Fender" on something doesn't magically change the real world properties of it, just like putting "fender" on an FRFR somehow made it "oh so totally different but I can't give you any measurements, just trust my religion bro" than other FRFRs

So the Toyota dealership chain figures the best way to deal with their Presonus DAW IP with piles of happy, loyal users is to dumb it down and call it Fender studio....hey it worked for Apple and Logic, or something.

 
I am a happy user of Presonus Studio One for some years....this move has really disappointed me....I don't know but this new branding makes it appear less "professional" (at least to me)
 
I’ve been using Studio One for over 10 years. So this is a big one for me. The name change I don’t care about though… it’s the fact that Studio One has been missing fundamental tools for over 10 years: 1) There are no post-fader insert options. 2) You cannot link plugin parameters - think EQing stereo guitars at the same time but you don’t want them to be Bus’d/grouped. That’s just one of many examples. 3) Studio One has never had Izotope RX connect. That is such an essential thing to have…

One person put it like this: Fender knows that 90% of all beginner guitarist will not stick to the instrument as a life-long hobby and become dedicated. Fender wants to decrease that percentage and also gain life-long commitment from customers - so the 10% of people that stick to the instrument will be upgrading to a better Fender guitar and more of them which would include something like maybe an EVH amp along the way, maybe a Fender Bass or Jackson guitar and use Fender Studio Pro to record throughout that lifetime journey.
