Suhr Aldrich pups Vs. BBQ

I swapped out the BBQ pup I had in my LP std for the Aldrich. I've only checked it out for about an hour but so far I'm dig'n the Aldrich more than the BBQ. The BBQ is a great pup but is just too dark for my XTC. The Aldrich is thick yet brighter than the BBQ. The Aldrich is just more my cup-o-tea.

Does the Aldrich seem ALOT hotter than the BBQ?

Actually, no, I don't hear that. To my ears, the Aldrich is only a little hotter. I liked the BBQ over the stock LP pup but it was just a tad too dark for me. The Aldrich may not be quite as fat as the BBQ but it's not as dark either.

Hmmm. I was thinking the Aldrich was alot hotter, but I'm not sure why.

It's the "fat" and "dark" thing that makes me like the BBQ! But yeah, I know alot of others don't dig that much.

Well, I like the "fat" thing happening with the BBQ...it's just not open enough for my particular rig. I'd like to get that "fat" sound and have it be open. I think the Aldrich is going to be closer to what I'm after.

I find the Aldrich a bit hotter, but still cleans up nicely. Both are pickups I love greatly.
