Says this can take 9-18V, any reason to run at 18v versus 9, more gain or headroom?

Cool pedal.

more headroom. Probably sounds more amp like. Thats the case with my be od.

I bought a Suhr Eclipse 3 days ago and WOW! what a great sounding pedal. I started using it with 9v and I thought it sounded amazing. Then I wanted to try the 18v and that totally blowed me away. With the gain set at approx. 10:30ish and playing a bit with the amazing EQ of the Eclipse into the clean channel of my ENGL Retro Tube 100 = Instant George Lynch "Back for the Attack".
This pedal is as versatile as it gets. You barely look at the gain, level or EQ of the pedal and the sound changes. Then add the Koko Boost in front of it and you get all grounds covered.

So, a long answer made short = Go for 18v and the pedal comes alive.
