Anyone play one of these? Seems like a killer guitar, with a lot of well thought out features. I know there's two versions of it, one with a quilted top and a bolt on neck and another with a plain wood look and a set neck.

Yeah, I got one. Killer guitars - I especially like the 16" radius fretboard and the blower switch is mega cool - lotsa great tones in this. Probably my most versatile guitar, but somehow, I find myself playing my Custom Shop Charvels and homemade parts guitars more. Can't really put a finger on why...

Anyway, here it is:

Great guitars. Steve, If you wouldn't mind, How is your 510 set up? Is the the front edge below the body? Not sure how I prefer mine, the bridge just above the body, or below.
Thanks

Lemme check when I get home. I believe it is slightly above the body, but let me confirm...

Looks cool as hell.......
Yeah... been toying with the idea of selling it though since the thing is dead mint and isn't seeing much playing time...

Really like the idea of the blower switch!
The blower switch is great. My GG is a lighter guitar. It's very resonant and versatile. The pickups are quite a bit different than the Aldrich's which my second Modern has. The Suhr in my avatar is more of a metal hard rock machine. I love both of them. The GG does better clean and mid gain tones. Not that it can't do heavy tones. It's brighter than my other but my second Suhr sounds very unique with the Walnut top. Very punchy and has complex bass and low mids. If Steve sells his the buyer will be very happy. I know he just has a thing for Charvel Customs which are more metal than the GG. The Guthrie is so versatile and well rounded. What it does, it does very well. The 16" radius is very fast as well. Faster than my 10-14 compound and 10" radius I have on another axe.

Front edge is well above the body. Glad this guitar got brought up - playing it right now! :inlove:

He's also got his 3rd signature Suhr that was released recently:

I liked the looks of his "flamed" signature Suhr so much that I had one of my Moderns built like it, minus some of the features and with a 14" radius instead:

Very cool. Yeah, I like the look of the flame top best as well...I'm sure your guitar plays and sounds amazing.

I gotta say, it is a joy to play. I love Suhr Moderns....I currently have 3 of them (with different wood combos/finishes), and wouldn't be opposed to having a fourth one day.

We have 2 Guthrie Govans on order at Tone Merchants if you would like one.

I really dig the Govan model. A lot of the specs are very similar to what I would get in a custom, but in the end when I ordered I opted for one totally to my specs with different woods and pickups. That being said, I'd still grab a GG if I had the spare capital and could justify it.
