I don't usually do new gear days, but this is one of a kind and I thought you might like to see it. I spoke with Suhr and the only other Walnut top guitar they made was with a customer supplied Walnut Top in 2004. This is the only one ever made with Feathered Black Walnut. I don't have the best camera. The dealer I purchased it from was visting Mr. Suhr and Company. One of the builders pulled out four pieces of wood, a Koa, A Flame,a Quilt, and this Feathered Black Walnut top.The dealer bought all four and this was just in end of last week. The guitar has a Mahogany Body and Neck, Brazillian fretboard(.780-.830/10-14 radius), and Aldrich pickups. It sounds incredible. It's a nice compliment to my Guthrie Modern

It's hideous !!!

No really, I hate you for showing this work of art.

Holy tits!

One of the sexiest guitars I've ever seen, hands down! NICE NGD!

Thanks Brothers. It is a beauty. I wasn't sure how I would like the smaller neck profile, but it doesn't feel much diiferent from my Guthrie profile, and the 10-14" radius feels great as well. I wasn't sure how the Walnut would sound tonally either, but I took the chance and I am not at all dissapointed. I may even like the heavy stainless on this one better than the jumbo.

Please Please Please.
Let me know if you ever sell that. I will take that off your hands.
I'm actually trying to find out where you live so I can beat you over the head and take it from you

Simply stunning to say the least
Congrats

That is certainly a beauty... How is the sound with that combo of woods? I'm imagining it's pretty fat and warm. What does the walnut impart to the tone?

That Modern is GORGEOUS! :inlove:  :inlove: Very unique wood combonation as well! Congrats!

I need some more time, but my initial feelings are that this is a great wood combination. It's a heavy top compared to my Guthrie model. The neck is fast but has a buttery feel to it. It's not as bright acoustically as the Guthrie Maple top. The axe has a great tone. If my first thought are right, definitely a nice wood combo from Suhr. First one I have seen. I may call Shon up at Suhr and ask him.
