I don't have much Suhr experience, but this lower horn (modern) looks funky....are they all like this?

Looks nicely sculpted for easy fret access - to my un-trained eye!

Looks the same as mine. The cutaway is actually the only gripe I have about the guitar's construction. The Vigier's, JP's & Ibanez JS (e.g.) all have really amazing access at the higher register. I find the back of my hand gets obstructed a little by the horn if i'm playing the bass strings. If you've not played one before & are considering buying one, give this some thought or try and have a go on one somewhere if you can.

Looks like a Modern. Not sure about the textured part in the finish. That may not be kosher as the rest does not look to be the same. What year is it? Could be lighting or it could be a problem (Delam)

looks stretched a little bit from the camera angle and most likely has a reflection of a popcorn ceiling making it look funny texture wise??
At times, I have the same issue as Jimmy, where the back of my hand will hit the horn.

cool, thanks guys!
The paint texture is just a reflection of the ceiling.
Any idea of how Suhr wire their 5-way switches with In a H-S setup w/ only a volume pot?

Tell them to do it how you want and it they probably will at a slight upcharge or none. Mine was wired like an ibby but it was also super old.

The guitar was made in 2011, I bought it second hand and I don't know much about wiring to be able to tell once I get the backplate off. I'll post pics of the wiring once it arrives, but since the original guy didn't request anything special wiring wise (I asked him and even he's not sure how it's setup), I was wondering if there is a default wiring scheme that they use for this configuration.

Very nice! Your first Suhr? Post the specs.

If you don't like it I'll trade you my blue Custom Shop ESP.........

I knew of this one. Wildwest guitars I think. I owned a killer feathered klaro walnut top modern. At he tim eit was the only guitar Suhr ever did with Walnut. Not many have been done. It should be really good with the Maple neck. The Walnut had a complex extended low end I have not really heard in another top wood. I sold it because I do not like the slimmer Modern elliptical.

Yup, first Suhr!
SS frets, GG neck profile, mahogany/walnut body, maple neck/fretboard, locking hipshot tuners, aldrich + Air Norton S, 5 way switch

Matt's music actually I think.
Yeh, I saw your post about your walnut modern while researching this one. That was a beautiful guitar!!
Very curious how the mahogany, walnut, and maple will sound. Reviews on walnut seem to be all over the place, some say bright, others say dark, others say between mahogany and maple, so not really sure what to expect!

The top was unreal. Only guitar I bought brand new and sold for more used. I bet it will be great. Mine had these lows I have not heard in another guitar yet.If yours has that and then the brightness of the maple it will be awesome. I think you will be very happy with Suhr.
