Hi guys, how is it going?

Been listening to some awesome clips of this pedal but i was wondering how it really sounds when playing live. Does it sound like a pedal or you really get that "amp-like" feeling?

BTW im talking about the original one, not the Reloaded version. Also, any other "Modded Marshall in a Box" type of pedal you could suggest?

Brownie by cmat mods is a great miab pedal. I had both and was using the riot as a boost and it killed the Marshall tones easily.

Thanks man.

You ever had the chance to try it live?

Ive used the Riot 2 times live.using a Marshall DSL 100/50 as the power section thru a cab. And with the Torpedo Live the PA and using a cab for "stage volume".

Worked well both ways. I may have had it set too trebley.
Both were quick setups and quick sets. My band was an opening act for one gig and direct support to a headliner at a benefit. So it was setup and play, then get off the stage. I wish i wouldve been able to have more time to experiment.

My rig was a Wampler Plextortion (used like a crunch channel)then would kick on the riot (after turning off the Wampler) and use it like a "lead channel". Plenty of gain for me. 80s tones. Marshall in a box. Recommended.

Thanks a lot man.

Enough mids/highs to cut in the mix? Would you say it sounds "amp-like"?

Definitely amp-like. I love this pedal. The 2nd version doesnt even interest me,cuz this one is great.

I played in a 1 guitar band with keys, bass, drums. So it was ez for me to cut thru the mix. I cant honestly say about a 2 guitarist band.

The original Riot is very amp-like and takes other pedals driving it like a champ...especially the Koko boost. It sounds great in the bedroom and also live where I think it really shines...
Good luck.

Thanks man!

If i can get the original one for a great price, would you say its worth to pay the extra buck and get the Reloaded version?
