And what's your thoughts? I'm a big fan of the Aldrich in my LP's and I'm looking for something a little more vintage.

I have 2 shurs with SSH & I LOVE Them. More articulate than the Aldrich. A tight beefy modern PAF sound.

I had a SSH+ and it was an awesome pup....Very balanced and kinda like the Aldrich but better IMO..

I like the SSH+ better than the Aldrich too. But I like the DSV in the neck position. It's smooth and articulate, and splits beautifully. Big sound.

Don't know if I'm leaving it in there or not, but for what you're looking for, I'd go a different direction.
Best PAF style pickups I've personally used (for what you mention) are the WCR Godwoods.
If you want Suhr, I'd say SSV.

I'm not looking for a low output PAF. More like 12k or so. I'd like it to clean up nice with the volume too.

not a big fan of the SSH+ and pulled it out of my Suhr for an Aldrich and WCR Darkburst for my Suhr. That pickup seemed like it had nasty distorted tone that really shows up on recordings that I did not like very much.

What do you like more about the Aldrich? I feel the same. I love the Aldrich. Have it is a Les Paul and PRS SC. SSH+ is similar to me.
I want to try the SSH however in one guitar. I think it's supposed to be darker and more PAF compared to the Aldrich.

SSH+ compared with the Aldritch has less bass and less compression but the output is seems the same

If you are wanting something move vintage sounding than the Aldrich, the SSV or the SSV+ are going to fit the bill. I prefer the SSV+. It's about 9k. The SSH and SSH+ are going to be hotter. The SSH+ is about JB hot. The Aldrich is a tweaked SSH+.

I thought the sSh was pretty bogus. I thought the SSV was pretty sweet. The aldrich was ok. I have heard many dudes speak of the greatness of the aldrich, but I found it to be just ok. The SSV+ was also pretty bitchin. Or was it the DSv or perhaps the DSV+? Or the DSVD? Or the Sd+V? Uhhhhhh…….

The SSH is around 12K. I had one in a strat and I wouldn't call it dark. I've had the SSH+ and the Aldrich and they were hotter. Pretty similar sounding too.
