Super Bass vs Super lead?

Superlead....its hard enough to keep them from getting muddy. Superbass are near impossible.

thanks George!

i started a Metro kit way back, and somehow the other George sent me a Bass Schematic. got the board populated and then the other Metro guys told what i'd did, i got frustrated and never finished it.

was hoping i could be lazy and finish with bass circuit.

I'm all about being lazy these days!  You could always try it and see if you like it. If played cranked, they are too muddy for me. Not cranked, maybe you'll like it....

The difference between the lead and bass circuit is only a few components.
I don't remember which but it shouldn't be too hard to search on the web.

Oh, and Super lead :)

the differences would be in the input stages, the tone stack and the output coupling caps.

super lead:

split cathode
v1b 2.7k/.68u
v1a 820/330u
bright channel coupling cap .0022u
33k/500p tone stack
.022u PI caps

superbass:

shared cathode
v1a and v1b share a 820/330u
bright channel coupling cap = .022u
56k/250p tone stack
.1u PI caps

that's basically it.
