Superstrat Facelift, which pickguard?

What do you guys think? Pictured below is probably my best playing superstrat. The Neck is so smooth and the JB2 just works so well. This one is amazing to play. I'm bored of the storm trooper look though, think it is time to switch it up. Black pickguard looks mean , but the red gives off Mick Mars vibes. Leaning towards that with a 36 anni neck humbucker. ( my fave neck humbucker currently) Will probably add a D tuna but wondering about knob colour. Stay the chrome or go the fender yellow/aged look like Mick's?

That's my storm trooper now but it's boring. I actually am going to put a push pull on the neck to split it, low friction on the bridge for the swells and a no load tone pot. Ordered the D tuna today. Probably stick with chrome knobbies. I think it will be a Mick strat sort of thing after all. Maybe a playboy bunny water mark? OK pushing it.

Lol so true. The dad in sandals who plays the all white strat who kills it when he gets on stage.

Black pickguard says I'm badass watch these monster stretches.

Red is total standout and quite possibly the guy who spent a lot in his axe but can barely play smoke on the water

None- I'd opt for a brushed aluminum. It would pop with the black hardware.

Just something about this pickup. The one Dimarzio got right. Fantastic detail but the right amount of bass. Love it and the chopper ( which is what is in there now)

That makes black pop for sure... do you guys with single hum not feel limited for the shreds? When I go for alternate picking runs I love having a neck pickup.

Yep, Had a 2004 MIM strat in gunmetal blue and put a brushed aluminum guard on it. Looked smoking hot. Sold it though because the single coils did not work for me. Should have kept it and rerouted- impossible to find that color anymore. Wish Fender would release that color again with a Hum and brushed aluminum p.g made in USA- I'd be on it like a fly on shit.
