Smart ^^^ people commenting here, but you guy's keep ignoring it :ROFLMAO:

No matter what your feelings are on abortion, this is a bad move. Scott is correct, people on Far left/Far right DO NOT decide elections. Moderates decide. Abortion is popular because moderates are fucking smart enough to know if banned, they will have to pay for each unwanted child potentially for 18 years, plus housing & food for the mother while her baby daddy slings dope on the side.

Might not effect this election cycle, but it will eventually. Enjoy the fuck up if this passes, Boys.

You are oversimplifying, imho. While I agree that most people in the middle are supportive of abortion, overall, they also agree that there should be stricter limitations the further into the pregnancy.
Most people in the middle are ok with abortion in the first trimester. They move to more restrictions in the second trimester; however, most do NOT support abortion in the third trimester.
Again, very restrictive abortion laws have been on the books in Texas for some time now, and that has not generated a significant groundswell in that state (with a lot of leftists in it) to mobilize.
Also, the more the left is allowed to defend their position on abortion at any time for any reason, the gross their arguments are. I think this will have the exact opposite effect that you think it will.

What a shit show this thread is. Think for a minute that someone can disagree on a single topic as you, that doesn’t make them far right or far left. So many in those categories fall in rank and file and never sway from party line and have no independent thoughts. Moderates on the otherhand think both sides are a circus and side with what topic fits their personal, geographical, and economic demographic. There’s no one size fits all, but the moderates are undoubtedly the key to the election
While that philosophy used to be true and agreeable, if you're a moderate that still votes Democrat in this current political climate, you are doing nothing but helping advance the destruction of the core values this country was founded on. Yes, most people ARE moderate politically but the sad fact is that the far left progressive/socialist/communist movement has been allowed to gain traction and further their control over the Democrat party so saying your in the middle while still putting a check next to a D is just furthering the agenda. Hate to break to ya folks that don't already see it, Democrat leadership and policies DO NOT work. Look at any major US city under Democrat rule and it's painfully obvious. At some point, people are going to need to put their big boy and girls britches on and accept the fact that policy over feelings is more important.
I'm not saying the GOP is stellar by any stretch. We truly need option #3 but that isn't going to happen. So if I have to choose, I'll choose the option that isn't hell bent on destroying our constitution and running the country into a third world shithole.
Rant over.

Your comment about restrictive laws in Texas for some time, what specifically are you referring to?

Most abortions are performed in the first trimester. I feel this is fine, if you haven't figured out if you can/can't handle a child by then, too bad you're having it IMO. If it's something else such as life threatening, I'm fine with late term.

This is the most common/popular train of thought. If my state 100% ends abortion, even in the first trimester. That would be cause for concern that I will be paying more for the mistakes of others.

BTW I'm a Texan, myself.

You are completely blind to the fact that most of what you just said can apply to either party. Basically you can't smell your own shit because your nose is in it 24/7.

The key to everything working is to have a balance, and not allow the fringe too much power.

We cant have a Bernie, and as much as you'd like we don't need another Trump. We need moderate republicans, and moderate democrats. We need to kick the crazies out.

I’m talking about the restrictive limitations on abortion in Texas that have not generated a massive groundswell of opposition that state.
It doesn’t matter whether or not you think you can
“handle the child.” If you make it, you should raise it. The primary problem, and I think this hurts the side you’re arguing for, is the left has made abortion just another form of birth control they wish to have on demand at any time in the pregnancy. With all the widespread availability of contraception these days, arguing for abortion, even up to the point of birth, is extremely offputting to the majority of people. Again, I don’t think this is going to be the great thing that motivates the middle to vote democrat. Not when gas will be around $5 gallon in November.

is insane. Smell that virtue... yes men can get pregnant.

Please ask the follow up: "So how does that happen? Just wish it so?"
She would follow up with this evidence as an example.

You're so fucking stupid you completely and totally miss the point. They both suck but only ONE is going down the communist road. I can't help it if the truth hurts your vagina. Go cry in a box a tampons you waste of oxygen.

Right, and the other one is going down the autocratic road, dipshit. You're completely missing that because, again you're immune to the smell of your shit.

Which one/s specifically, and how long has it been in place? I ask this because the time it takes from legislation, to go in effect, to results matters.

Also I'm not arguing for any side. I'm arguing from my stand point, I really don't have a dog in the fight until it affects me, or it's apparent that it will affect me overtime.

Blah blah blah. If you’re not affected right now by the current dumpster fire that is the “leadership” in the county you’re either don’t live here, are too rich for it to matter or just really fucking stupid.
I‘m gonna bank on option #3

Texas Senate Bill 8.

Article from Planned Parenthood voicing their concern over it: https://www.plannedparenthood.org/planned-parenthood-center-for-choice/texas-abortion-laws

Article from a few days ago about how “oppressive” the Texas law is: https://www.latimes.com/opinion/sto...tudents-residents-miscarriage-bans-healthcare

Again, there has not been a great groundswell of those in the middle (and the middle is what we’re talking about here) in the state of Texas fighting back against what is a very restrictive abortion law. There are a lot of liberal voters in that state, and there has not been a significant movement against it. Abortion will not be the issue for the middle. It will be their pocketbooks, which are shrinking moment by moment under the Biden regime and total control of Congress by democrats.

Some very intelligent leftists are now protesting that a babies not ‘humans’ until they can speak…

Mentally Sick pieces of shit, these people.
This is what I’m talking about. The more the left talks about abortion, the more it grosses out/offends rational people in the middle. Listen to their arguments is truly repulsive. Zero respect for the sanctity of life.

What you cited is relatively fresh. You're thinking too short term. Speaking of pocketbooks, when people see the welfare lines getting longer, and our property taxes increasing it'll be a different story all together.

You're also thinking hormone filled teens, and people in their 20s will suddenly be responsible if there are consequences. That's very naive, we have prisons full of people that didn't fear consequences. Dumb kids getting knocked up will fear even less because tax payers will be forced to foot the bill. So by taking away their last tool of correcting the fuckup, we're shooting ourselves in the foot.

BTW Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I doubt this will change any outcome this election (midterm) I fully expect Republicans to win, mainly because that's what usually happens. The party holding the executive branch loses in the midterms.

I'm too rich bitch :ROFLMAO:

J/k I'm actually felling it, just slightly. So we have high inflation, and gas prices. Your right wing media is blaming sleepy joe, and you're pissed, right?

The reality is, we gave free money away during Trump, and Joe. We had a global scale supply chain disruption, and Putin decided to attack Ukraine. If you think these three things are not 100% the reason for what we are dealing with, you're hopelessly brainwashed.

Then the states will have the right to decide what they wish to do. The people will vote on it and decide for themselves.

You’re implying that we should kill poor people before they’re born so they won’t have to be in the poverty line. Or we should kill them before they have a chance to become criminals. IF they become criminals. Gross. Immoral. Evil. You do not value life. Your words show it.

The abortion issue is going back to the states where it belongs. SCOTUS is not supposed to make law. It will not be the bellwether issue in November that you’re claiming it will be. If I’m wrong, I’ll eat crow. We’ll see.
