I'll start by saying. This is def not a tone for the masses. It's an over the top brutal, metallic, crunch.
It's extremely cool every once in a while for me. So I'm glad I could get that tone with my Little practice 20 watter.
I really enjoy the slax and herb as is. I usually don't boost those amps. Sometimes.....
But I've always felt the little 6505mh is a great platform for boosts and such.

This is the green channel.
Mxr 6 band in loop, and fortin 33 pushing the front end.
412 fl k100 cab sounds brutal with this setup. There's enough going on that the more neutral speakers work well with. It sounds great with my v30 Diezel cab also though.

Just having some fun today, so figure I'd share the brootz.

My left nut finally dropped hearing that. My wife thanks you.

You make great vids  I don't use my 33 so much mainly since I keep my amp settings set for home recordings... but when I do use it and dial in my amp its insanely brutal.

Cool! I love my 33.
This amp and this pedal work very well together. I like to tune my amps differently with the pedal.
But I'm digging it more and more, the more time I get with it.

Dude that kicks ass on all kinds of levels!

Thanks Dan, it's a unique tone. Let's hear some clips of your new stealth el34, your rave review has me curious.

You are too kind!! I agree, I change my settings usually with the pedal.
But I'm gonna leave this 6505mh and pedal together. They are like peanut butter and jelly for me.
I would love to get my recording setup going. Just low on fun money. Kids are expensive I'm learning. I got a 1 and 3 year old. Less fun money for dad now!!! Hahaha
I need me a better computer, and a torpedo live or studio and I'll be good to go.

cool man, sounds pretty rad. I love it with the Butterslax a lot as well. but I turn my tone knob down to about 3/4 on my guitars when I do so otherwise its too bright, sounds super brutal

Yeah dude kids are expensive... got a 5 and 12 year old both in private schools... I could get like 10 Friedman amps a year for what I pay just for the school alone  I have a super dooper computer setup in my bedroom but oddly enough I don't use it for recording since I primarily record late at night... been using a surface pro4 tablet with Reaper... not too bad.

I'm looking at just getting a dedicated Mac mini or something not too expensive, may go pc laptop route again. Apple is just so easy and plug and play. I have an old MacBook Pro, that is starting to become a slug.......
I love how we guitarists measure expenses by Friedman amps....hahahah greatness.
We have a lot in common, 2 kids and a slax. What's better??? :emofag: :grim:

Are these 6405 mh heads good, cuz I could use one? Or are they just okay?

I have the 33 fortin and its a keeper... it turns my 50CL and even Ultra lead into fire breathing monster... ! The fortin boost is unlike any other boost pedal.. it just do the right thing even with a single knob ! Am thinking if the Fortin grind will do just same with slightly different flavour ?

Or how close or similiar can the 33 and grind be comparing side by side

I think it's a cool amp, takes pedals and effects well. I use it as a lower volume practice amp, and with the right tools it's a great thing. Anything particular your looking for in it?

Isn't she pissed that her workload has now been doubled?

I had both, 33 let's a little more bottom through. They have diff freq curves and both boost certain things too, so very much a diff flavor.
