Wow Adam, best demo of this yet! Sounds spectacular. This guy did more in 15 minutes than I have in three months with this thing, I haven't had time to really dig in. I honestly just jump on your "Dio" preset and play away ;)

Ha! Yeah, Mitch is great... really good showcase...

Dio: man, that's awesome! Truth to tell, when Buck and Bill and I were writing the last presets, we were brainstorming about players and songs (with great tone) and I threw that one out there...

I'd love to hear some of your recordings if you get a chance!

1. Needs IR capability, it's 2016
2. Needs an AC input. Wall wart for that price? Come on.
3. Needs a guy to demo it that plays stuff that heavy players want to hear. I find this with 90% of the guys over there at SW. I don't want to hear Steely Dan. Not talking about that video, but they should split the videos among guys that play 70's soft rock and modern metal.

I like you're videos better Adam, which showcased what this thing could do in the heavy realm. They're just too short and don't go into enough depth as far as the tweakability. But they probably didn't pay you either. I think you've sold more of these things for them than all the other vids out there.

If it weren't for 1 and 2 above, and the lack of in depth info on this thing, I was seriously considering one, based on the tones in a couple of your videos.

I wish it had midi pedal capability. Then it could be used as a midi pedal, and serve as a great backup if you had amp issues.

Thanks, man... that means a lot. You know, I kind of like that it's the IR's from in house with Buck and the gang making their own that they feel best represent what they want the Theta Pro to be... kinda breaks the mold of all the other units out there that can load third party IR's... it was a thought out choice... with upgrades, I believe Buck wants to add in a few more cab sims; possibly a V30, a g12t-75 and some others... as of now, it's got a wide range to play with. And with the three preamps, pre and post EQ's, you can go anywhere you want. And I don't mind the wall wart at all, but I hear you...

And thanks again... when my job lightens up a bit (I'm a full time professor and work has been killing me lately - I've actually put in my notice and looking for another gig) I hope to do some more videos... I'm in love with the Lowpass Filter (which is what I used to record all of my tunes: adammclean.bandcamp.com).

I think if you pull the trigger on one, you won't be disappointed. The response at NAMM was incredible... and now with Brad Gillis, Allan Holdsworth and Michael Sweet and Jason Hook, it's gonna get a lot more in depth coverage. I think Michael Sweet is doing a demo as well... not quite 'modern' metal, but certainly heavy.

Cool beans man. I hate my IT job. I have dreams about being a professor. Lennon glasses, walking around campus baked off my gord, tipping my top hat as I walk by the pretty girls. Do a couple classes, then hang at the round table for a bit with the quantum mechanics professors and go home at 3.

So it's not like that? :aww:

I realize the thing has built in cab sims, but like I said, there's absolutely no info on that. I've not seen a video yet that goes through them. I've got a kemper now, so I'm done with gear for a while (rest of my life) :( most likely.

Can't be looking at new stuff NOPE. Not going to do it

Ha! Since I'm in the arts (theatre to be exact, and I teach Movement and Stage Combat) I'm there all day teaching and meetings and then evening rehearsals... I'd trade my left nut to live the life you described!!!!!

Check the manual: http://www.isptechnologies.com/wp-conte ... Lv1.01.pdf It lists out the several that are in the Theta Pro and I know with V2, Buck is thinking of adding a few more...

And be careful with that Kemper... there were two or three guys that we met at NAMM that got rid of their Kempers because of the Theta Pro. And I'm sure I converted a couple of Axe-FX guys too, but I can't be sure!!!

Yeah I ditched my Kemper for the Theta Pro as well. It was an amazing unit no doubt, but all I ever used were the same few hotrod Marshall profiles and even then it still wasn't the sound in my head.

The base Theta preamp tone, it's absolutely what I wanted and it's highly tweakable with pre and post Eq, and I didn't need the flexibility of the Kemper. I understand this unit is a 1.0 version, and they concentrated on getting the base tone and effects as best they could be above everything else.
My main wish list is an onboard tuner and more cab options.

The main 4x12 greenback cab is stellar though, I would say it might be based on the EVH cab because it sounds great for metal and everything else as well.

I am actually partial to the 1x12 Creamback sim... just something about that does it for me... if I can save up a few funds, I swear I'm gonna get the ISP 4x12 cab and load it with V30's and Creambacks... I had a 2x12 cab with Creambacks and I'm kicking myself for letting it go...

Yes... the next upgrade I believe will have the Detune/Pitch that I got to play with at NAMM and I've chatted with buck about adding in a V30 and G12T-75 cab sims too as those are standard for a lot of players, metal and other styles.

Yeah, when I found my Theta Rack Preamp years ago, I haven't been able to enjoy other distortion types... I found "my" tone.
