Dumb question but the Synergy 20IR has a single 16 ohm jack, two 8 ohm jacks, and two 4 ohm jacks. Can I plug the 16 ohm cabs into the 8 ohm jacks for a total of 8 ohms? I think the single 1x16" jack is throwing me off and don't want to screw anything up.

Yep that’s exactly how it works! When you have two cabs of a given impedance, use the output jacks rated at half the impedance of one of the cabs.

2 x 16 ohm cabs = use the 8 ohm amp outs

2 x 8 ohm cabs = use the 4 ohm amp outs

Appreciate it! I think in my head, I was thinking "the jack says 8 ohms so have to plug in two 8 ohm heads".
