I'm really interested in trying the Synergy system, as most of the amps I've loved in the past (or currently own) could potentially be replaced with a single module and more money in my pocket. I was a big fan of the old MTS system, but was never quite satisfied with the rack setup I was running and love the idea of going with a head (or combo), instead.
I really like the size and functionality of the SYN-30. I don't play clean super often, but I like the idea of having a dedicated clean channel, so I can setup the other two channels as crunch/lead without having to compromise as much on any modules that have shared EQ. That said, I noticed that it doesn't have a master volume or density (resonance??) like the 50 does.
Has anyone owned both of these heads? Is there a huge difference in sound between the two? I'd mostly be using it for high gain, modern metal tones, if it matters. Not really concerned with running multiple modules at once - I'm only playing at home anymore, so swapping them isn't a big deal.
