If your chapped about the 350ms min. delay time, check this out...
I moved the playback head from its stock position, to the position closest to the recording head. Doing this, I've achived a min. time delay of approximately 125ms. Perfect for slap-back with up to approximately 550ms of delay time. Sounds better too! I couldn't do anything about the tap-tempo timing offset, but you can double-time your taps to approximate. I don't use TT for precise time delay settings, so it's not an issue for me.
1. Remove base cover.
2. Remove tape cartridge.
3. Remove the playback head mounting screw.
4. Lift the playback head, and gently pull some extra cable out from the housing.
5. Secure the playback head next to the recording head.
Be careful not to lose the washers, and do not overtighten the bracket screw.
