So I keep getting letters from MB telling me my C350 has a recall on the air bags. So last week I made an appointment with the nearest dealer, which is 40 miles away, for 7AM tomorrow morning. I took 2 hours vacation and they arranged me to have a loaner car. I already was nervous enough about letting them take my dashboard apart, but then I read some reviews and I'd guess somewhere around 30% of the reviews of their service department were negative. I looked and as far as I can see there have been very few issues where the bags accidentally deployed in any MB and none resulted in more than a minor injury. The car is 12 years years old. I'm taking my chances with the air bags fuck it.

It seems like any dealings with dealers now a days are sketchy. My experience at the RAM dealership is why I started doing my own oil changes and tire rotations again. I’ve got a factory recall I’ve been putting off because I just don’t want to deal with them.

I would never take it to a dealer for service. $800 battery. lol
