Sorry for the long read but had to share!!
So 2 Sunday’s ago my lady and I drove down to Russo’s Music in Asbury Park NJ to check the store for a first time visit there. Let me just say great people wonderful staff. NYC, NJ & Philly people take the trip it’s so worth it.
Anyway I Played a few Taylor’s and specifically a 714ce and and 814ce both V-Class since I’ve been looking to add a Rosewood Taylor to my collection. But decided to wait to make a purchase as they were hosting a Taylor Showcase and I figured they would have many nice one off builds and were also showcasing the new Grand Pacific’s. So I figured I’ll wait and see if Taylor brought any other guitars that might catch my eye.
Well we got there and the store was set up beautifully and they had an amazing spread of Taylor’s. I was like a fat guy in a steak house drooling. Then my Lady saw my eyes open wide for one in particular. My dream Taylor was on display. She laughed and said “ is that one special?” I just smiled and said yeah it is. So after playing the 714, 814 a few amazing Custom one offs and the Pacific’s I walked over and I picked her up. See I have never had a chance to play my dream guitar in person and I finally had my chance to have her in my arms.
She was absolutely stunning!
She was so incredibly beautiful! She was so **** sexy!
And so very Classy!
I was completely blown away! The build detail, the quality of woods, the tone, the volume, the articulation and the sustain of the notes were incredible. She was everything I thought she would be. So after a few minutes off playing I gently put her back on her stand and walked away saying to myself do I really need another guitar? Do I really need to spend this kind of money? Thinking rationally I thought maybe next time. And I was done and told my Lady it was time to leave as they were wrapping up. My Lady looked at me and was saddened that I didn’t pull the trigger. I explained to her I’ll think about it as it’s not something I really need at the moment but it was just awesome to play one.
Well all I can say is I have an amazing woman. She looked at me and said “ you should have it!”
She pulled out her Debit Card and pulled the trigger smiling at me saying “I love you and you deserve it!
Blown away beyond words is an understatement!
See Im blessed with a great career and have always been able to purchase what I want when I get Gas for something. I’ve never asked or let anyone spend money on my gear as I know I like the expensive stuff. And this was just humbling to have a woman just as successful as I am do something because she loves me.
The staff at Russo’s took such good care of me and gave us an amazing price and even threw in some nice extras!

Ohh BTW I’m now the proud owner of a 2019 Taylor 914ce V-Class!!
