TC G-System and Friedman Marsha

Anyone use a G-System with the Marsha? Will it do the job?
I'm wanting a good foot controllable high quality effects, amp switching, and pedal control.
If I didn't go with the G-System I would have to get an Axe-FX, midi footcontroller, Voodoo GCX which I'm sure would offer way more possibilities but would cost about 3x the G-System.
I hear good and bad about the G wonder if anyone's used it?
Also wondering if the Metro FX loop kit used on the Marsha is serial or parallel?

It should work fine with the amp. The loop will be fine also. You might need a iso transformer before the input of the amp and you might need to ac lift the g system.

Thanks..guess I"m not sure what an iso transformer is or lifting the ac? Please explain.
