I am not, but I still want a Tech 21 TM300head. I have been a huge supporter of Tech 21 since day 1. The Sansamp is invaluable and I have recorded with a TM10, which is IMO one of the best practice amps of all time.

I use the 60 watt PE at one of my bands practice spot. I use a Digitech RP1000 with it...yeah, I know, but its just practice and it doesn't sound half bad.

I've yet to try the PE with my AX8, but I've heard the PE isn't a transparent as newer "FRFR" devices. I'm not even sure the PE is FRFR.

Yup. Not looking for FRFR actually. I just want to know if it sounds good or is it garbage. I have come to realize I don;t NEED a ton of volume for a lot of gigs but most regular powered "budget" wedges don;t sound very good IME.

Me too. Just got an Axe Fx, I have two tech 21 Pe60's. A $50 test mod seems a good bet over buying a $1400 FSFS Atomic CLS powered wedge which everyone raves over.

Did you ever do it?

ask Jim at scumback for his recommendation replacement speaker because the stock one is one of the worst celestions i have ever heard. with that mod it is much better. i used it as a wet combo in a w/d or w/d/w rig and it was great. fairly flat and unlike a frfr wedge it has some guitar cab percussion and life.

I tried a Scumback J65,Creamback H75,vintage30,lynchback in the T-21 liked the lynchback the best would love to do that tweeter mod though.
