Technical Question - I am building an amp!

Dave, I am going to be taking a crack at building a 100watt 12000 Series Plexi. You and George at Metro have me inspired to get off my butt and finally do this. I have a couple of questions.

Output and Power Transformer? What brand would you recommend? I am looking at Merren and Marstran for both the OT and PT. As you and I discussed with my Blankenship; the transformers are a big deal!

What brand of choke would you use?

Anyway, this is going to be a blast Dave! I am going to pick you and Georges brain over the next several months.

Anyone else on this forum try to build an amp?

I would say classic tone laydown power transformer and their plexi choke. I would say metro output transformer.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate it. I am really excited. I have never built an amp before. This will be a blast. My dad is an electrical engineer, and he's going to help. Plus, I have a local guy thats a tube amp guru. He's going to help with the final touches!
