Any reason you favor one over the other. I'm going to my local Fneder dealer here in a few hours to play some Fenders. If anything realy jumps out at me I may get a new axe.

Check out the 52 RI hotrodded thinskin tele! I played one at GC the other day and loved it

I would love to but doubt they have those. I'm actually gonna try and keep my sights on axes less than 1500. Otherwise I woulds love a Custom Classic thin skin Strat!

I like tele's better - they feel more comfortable than strats, seems easier to play tele's above the 15th fret - with the strat I feel those frets are too close to my body and my hand doesn't go up there as easy.

tele = bawls, sustain, awesome bridge pickup, indestructable

strat = more polite, touch more versatile, awesome neck pickup

you needs one of each.

That guitar so rules....
And to answer the question...if you don't need a whammy bar, and the Tele does have a mini bucker or bucker in the neck, nothing touches it.

As for versatility...Tele with middle pup and mini bucker!

I am thinking its a good time to pick that thing up now!  I A/B'd it with the regular 52 RI tele and still preferred the Hot-Rodded one, I think the Hotrodded is thinskin and the regular isn't right? That guitar has major mojo!

Theres a Mark Jenny aged Esquire up at Guitarville I'm looking at right now.....I love Teles...

I almost bought one of these last night:

It was a killer playing guitar and it sounded great acoustically. I still may go back and buy it

I`ve said it before, but the possible biggest onbject for my lust for a while now has been: (and yes, I`m talking guitar only here)

Richie Kotzen Tele

To me, it`s gorgeous, it has jumbos, it has a bucker that can be run in parallell and series....

Hey Ed. I figured you would chime in. Well I never really use the trem on my Strat. If I'm wanting to do some whammy stuff I bust out the floyd loaded BC Rich.

I do struggle to get above the 15th fret effectively on my Strat. Maybe the Tele would be a cure for that. They had a cheap import Tele that was great to play but weighed a ton so I never bought it.

Yeah I never see them in stores. I'm guessing it's about 1400 US?

I thought the Kotzen ones were in Japan only?

I`m not sure if they`re that common outside of Japan? I`ve been thinking about importing one, it`s a tie between that and an Edwards LPC..:)

I'm pretty sure they're made in Japan for the Japan market only. I think they're pretty expensive too, aren't they? Like $1,500+?

I think so too, Chris. That`s why I`ve been comtemplating importing one myself :)

If there's 2 companies I hate to buy from without playing it first it's Fender and Gibson. I'm gonna cruise up the road here and see what they have.

That`s pretty frikkin cool!.. But it seems it`s quite a bit more expensive from Germany.
