Does any one own one or have any experience playing one?

The Super '78 and Custom Jimmy sound really good from their clips on the website. Each amp sounds really good at what they do.

Ever wish you could have a new vintage Hiwatt built into an amp using correct spec parts and build quality that rivals Hiwatt's Dan Reeves era? :2thumbsup:

Reeves was Hiwatt? I thought he worked with Matchless.

Dan Reeves was Hiwatt, his designs, his amps.

I've been Jonesing for a Super '78 since they were introduced. It sure sounds like they nailed the tone for that era based on the clips they have posted.

I'd also love to have a Custom 10 HG. It has an "angry" pre amp

Oh, and they would have to be in orange Tolex

If you want a genuine Hiwatt, i'd be buying one of these over a "namebrand" hiwatt

Correct, Mark Sampson and Phil Jameson were Matchless. Phil is still there.

That's right, Sampson went to Bad Cat, and now maybe with Star? I get all confused some days.

Yeah that Super '78 sounds killer in the clips. I would like to play that and a Splawn QR in the same room!

Same here - I'd love to play one and see how close I can get to the sound of those clips...

Reeves gives you a chance to play is once you buy it and then you can send it back if you don't like it. That is pretty cool! I guess they seem confident that you will like it in your own rig.

Not to mention the ported cabs seem cool as well. I wonder how close they sound to Port City cabs?

I'm very interested in a Reeves amp after the LA amp fest (super 78 was killer!)

I'm wondering how hard they are to find used. Pretty hard i guess as there are none on ebay now.

Also, I'm wondering if they can go into JCM 800 territory (ala RATM 2205) with or w/o a boost in front.

excellent sensitivity to pick attack when i saw the super 78 demo'd
