Tell me about Soldano cabs

I have a line on a 2x12 with V30s but I've never used one. Thoughts on them?
 
I use my Soldano 4x12 (Eminence legends) with my Uberschall and it sounds great! The Soldano 2x12 is a wee bit scooped sounding and would only use it with a Soldano amp. I've had two Soldano 2x12's and was not real happy with the tones. 4x12 and 2x12 do not sound similar.
 
I've heard that the reason Mike went with Eminence speakers was to tame down the brightness of Soldanos.

I dont like V30's with old Marshalls and i heard DeMartini uses Celestion G12M Greenbacks in his cabs. 70's Blackbacks with my 78' Friedman Marshall are the shite. :thumbsup:
 
I have found SLO's used with Celestion V30s and Greenbacks to be way bright. Eminence or JBL is the way to go
 
I like the SLO with V30s and Greenbacks. Never tried it with an EV, JBL, or any Eminence other than a Tonker, but I really didn't like the SLO with the Tonker by itself (though not bad blended with another speaker). SLO sounded OK with whatever speakers are in the DV Mark cabs, too, but the EVH 4x12 with Greenbacks that was sitting right next to it sounded much warmer and fuller to me. But the Soldano cabs are front loaded, right? Not sure I'd be crazy about a V30 in a front loaded cab, though the Bogner cubes make it sound great.
