I assume it won't sound like a full size humbucker, but how does it sound with the coil split?
I have a parts caster with a JB in the bridge that it'll be paired with.

Ive had full size jb's and the cool rails in many guitars and liked that combo, whether split or not,I just got a lil 59 in a neck position on a Jackson and I haven't had enough time with it yet..I can say it seems a bit more raw than my c.r..The cool rails seems to do the high gain in neck shred thing a bit better if that's your thing.

I didn't like it at all. Doesn't sound anything like a full size 59. Had a very thin tone, even more so when split.

The Li´l 59 is OK as a humbucker, but like most PAF types isn´t powerful enough to sound good when split to single. But for classic humbucker tone in a singlecoil format I prefer the Dimarzio rails, like the Pro Track or Satch Track.

I don't like it. It resembles a 59 in the way it has a boomy low end and scooped mids, but it doesn't sound the same. Duncan makes some good bridge humbuckers, but I'm never satisfied with their neck pickups. Dimarzio makes much better single-sized humbuckers overall, but the YJM and Hot Rails are very good. I didn't care much for the Lil 59. The Duckbucker is way better, but lacks too much output. The Lil JB is bland to me, and less like the JB than the Lil 59 is to the 59. If you are looking for a single-size humbucker for the bridge position, then my favorite is probably the STK-S9. It pairs pretty well with the Hot Stack neck.
