I use to be all about V's and Explorers and archtop guitars, but 2 years ago, I picked up a used MIM Strat at GC that was in mint condition for $275... I swapped all the hardware and electronics out and ended up with this as an end product...

I figured it would be cool to be a Strat around for whatever just to tool around with and say I have one so that's why I got it even though I had sold one previously just because it wasn't "cool" :scared:   . Oddly enough, it has become my go to guitar for pretty much everything. The feel, the balance and just everything about playing it just suits me so well now. What seems to throw people off when I pull it out, is I prefer to play metal... Killswitch, All That Remains, and even heavier stuff like Gideon and The Acacia Strain... Those general styles. Not typically what most people would go to a strat for I guess

Anyway, I have been contemplating doing a Warmoth build for a while, and now I think I may finally pull the trigger. This is kind of what I have come up with. Pretty simple, but exactly what I want. Mahogany body, non trem, dual battery box on rear for EMG 81/85 set and will have a Hipshot bridge. My only debate now is Black... or White

I am curious of opinions on what I have come up with and on body color... If I go white, it will have an Ebony fretboard, if I go black, it will have Maple. Either way.

Just my 2 cents, but the black body with maple neck, would look the best.
