Yeah man! the whole CD is awesome! Low is still my favourite testament, but this is good shit!

That was pretty badass.

I've never really listened to them, I'll have to check this album out.

Thanks for posting this.

IMO Far and away the best Testament CDs are :

The Legacy
The New Order
The Gathering

If a Testament album title has the word 'The' in it, it'll be good

Man I love this band. I was just on a Nevermore kick and now the Testament kick begins.

Are they using 5150's or Rectifiers?

I saw them last year with Unearth, they were both using 5150 3's. Eric said he used one
Exstensively on this album.

Had a 5153 and hated it. I believe I read that Peterson used a 5153 and Alex used an SD-1 into a Marshall DSL 100.

My favorite Testament tune is Eyes of Wraith with PWYP a very close 2nd.

Practice What You Preach has always been my fave although New Order's a close 2nd.

Really dig the new line-up and glad to see Alex back. Paul Bostaph kills on drums! He's been a friend for almost 20 years.

that album kicks MAJOR ass..best metal album in a while...until the new megadeth landed that is ;)

This new Testament is KILLER!
One of the better 'new' albums put out.
A Must have if you like this style of Metal!

The new album is a good mix of new and old Testament. My personal favorite is The Gathering. I remember when The New Order came out back in the late 80s. What a great album. I honestly thought they might be as big as Metallica. I remember an old Headbangers Ball when Skolnick and Chuck Billy (I think) were interviewed by Adam Curry. He sat and noodled with a bright yellow Ibanez. I can't remember which model from Ibanez but I distinctly recall that the lower horn was longer than the upper. Either way, great band! Eric Peterson is one of the coolest metal rhythm guitarists out there.

That was his signature model Ibanez..........
freaking awesome guitars!

Actually I think that was called a 540p. They had another 540 power that was what Satch used for awhile that was more like his current model but with 3 mini toggles. I actually remember seeing a Youtube video of Pual Gilbert in the studio using a white one. Ibanez needs to reissue this guitar.

Liking this Testament tune. Is the whole cd good?

Yes. Been a fan of Testament since The Legacy and this one holds up well. One of the best metal releases of last year, IMO.

Also, check out The Gathering, that is one of their best albums ever even though Alex is not on it. It still absolutely rips.

4-5 weeks from now I am building an Alder body Musikraft, copying the 540P
Skolnick didn't use the dome knobs that came with the 540P he used the larger soft rubber Cone type Knobs that the 90's Sound gear bass's came with..
