Thats what it says on the pcb board. 2 years or 200000 note warranty.

Now that the fan has quit working I get a few minutes out of it, then it starts shutting down and is blazing hot.

Sheesh. I can sit with a bottle of Patron Silver in front of the TV for 3 or 4 hours and play 200,000 notes. I think.

I'll get back to you on that later tonight. :D

I had a singer that tried that once.  Wasnt a pretty site!!

Is the fan proprietary, or does lit look like a regular computer style fan? You might be able to replace it yourself.

They are still in biz. Mike Soldano told me Andy was in the process of moving to a different building...Soldano and THD are walking distance from each other.

It just looks like a reg computer type fan. Fairly large. Its probably something that gets the voltage too it. Gonna be a pain in the butt to get it apart. The fan spins so its not bound up, but I smelled something bad.

Maybe thats why their site is down. Good thing i have another Hotplate. Sucks being in the middle of tracking and having stuff break!

I emailed them earlier this year (I think it was March) looking for a Hot Plate for the tour and ended up getting a reply from Ed Degenaro. Had no idea he worked for them. Anyway, he told me they had no 4 ohm Hot Plates (what I was looking for) and were not building any until October or November. Thought that was a bit weird.

I had thought that they went out of business last year, it seemed musicians friend was having closeout sales on all the thd amps and I havent heard anything from them in a few yrs.

It is slow but I do not think they are out of business. Andy did just move everything some place else. I do not think he would do that and go out of business right after.

So it looks like I burned up this part 1N5359B 24 volt Zener Diode. Anyone know where I can get one? All the places I have found so far want me to buy 4000. :)

Check Digikey. http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSea ... 359BGOS-ND

Mouser will probably have them too.

Had my issues with Zener diodes over the years. I have used this exact part, but I think I got rid of all my extras.

.36 each, 3rd item down. Can also buy resistors, caps and fuses there too so you don't have one part cost you $8 or whatever in shipping. :)

Pete
They were out of stock.

Digikey was 1000pc minimum I think. Rupe sent me a link to Future Electronics...they had it and I ordered a few extra just in case. This was the only part that was bad in my Hotplate, unless the fan is fried too. But I think its ok.

Been an expensive couple weeks! Blowing up all kinds of stuff on this project.

Huh, says over 2000 in stock on the third one down, and allowed me to put one in my shopping cart. Try this link:
