Yup, greatest frontman ever! :rawk:
Thank you!! Guy FN ruled..... :worship:
"I had more dirty women then most men EVER HAD..." :D

Bon was the original Bad boy.....dude was the rock n roll "Lock up your daughters" guy for sure.

Can't beat Bon's humor, lyrics and stage presence…. one of the best imo.

Back to amps seems like angus and malcolm were using their usual 4 input marshalls in this vid. I believe there's a little bit of misinformation floating around lately as people have been saying ac/dc were primarily using 2 input marshalls on highway to hell and back in black. To me if you dial the gain on a 2204 for early-mid ac/dc rhythms, then the solo tone would become thin sounding. If anything they possibly used a 2204 for the powerage album and live 79' let there be rock dvd. Powerage sounds very aggressive compared to previous albums and live 79' ltbr dvd sounded very saturated gain wise.

Btw that vid you posted must be rare one haven't seen it before. Still can't believe ac/dc almost fired Bon in 1975 wtf were they thinking!

I know it.....Bon was just such a raunchy dude...Such a 'rock n roll bad boy' that he broke the mold.
Owned all of his work with AC/DC....guy just strikes a chord with me.
74 Jailbreak is one of my faves with him. Powerage "whats next to the Moon" is my all time Favorite AC/DC song.
Every time I get an old Marshall in my hands....we crank out the AC/DC. :rawk:

Yes he was. Perfect pitch too, he didn't need no fancy pitch correction gizmo!

I'll agree. I can't think of anyone better at the moment. But then again I'm drunk as shit

Edit...
Oh and if Bon Scott ever played in a Stoner/Doom band it would have sounded like Ogre:

Bon Scott blows Roth outta the stratosphere! Bon just killed it every night Dave is hit or miss at best...

For sure....was as raw raunchy as you can get.
Guy is a legend to me.

It's an elite group. A small one, and you may be right. He was one of a kind.

Definitely one of the best. Angus just kills me. How the hell does that man not have permanent vertebra damage, especially in his cervical area?

I saw them in 85 with Brian Johnson....guy is a killer front man as well...
but Bon is unique.
Angus was huffing on the oxygen tank at that show as well.

I know I'm in the minority but I like Brian Johnson better. I started listening to them circa 78' when Back in Black came out so that might have something to do with. Those fuckers still rock live too. Just saw them a couple years ago and it was a killer show.

Not IMHO. Not even close to the baddest or best front man.
