Ampkit is the coolest guitar "gear" I've used in awhile. My phone is now my backup amp at gigs. I recorded this little piece in ampkit+ and then mixed in Multitrack DAW.

Guitar 1 and lead is the Peavey Valve King with 6505+ cab with a 57 on it. Effects used are a noise gate, OD and delay. All effects are in Ampkit.
Guitar 2 is the Budda SD30 with Peavey 6505+ cab and Wideload 421 mic. Same effects used.

I recorded the first guitar along to the backing track in ampkit then pasted it into multitrack without the backing. Then went back to ampkit and recorded the 2nd guitar the same way...then was able to pan each guitar during mix.

This shit is fun!

The funny part is that the VK model sounds better than the real thing ever did.

Can the Multitrack Daw recognize the guitar input from Ampkit?

I want to know if the Apogee Jam or the new Line6 Mobile In will allow Ampkit to be recognized by either GarageBand or Multitrack Daw (or when Ampkit will just add a multitrack recorder)

You can't use ampkit while multitrack or garageband are open as the main app. It's one or the other as far as i know.

You can definitely hear the Ampkit guitar when you are playing a track in Multitrack Daw but Multitrack won't recognize it as an input to record.

In the Ampkit options you can turn multitasking on so that you can hear the guitar playing even when you close the app and open another.

Thanks for listening. At the very least, it's getting me to pick up my guitar at home.

Interesting. Can you record it while you're listening to a backing track in GB, then paste the AmpKit track into GB after the fact? That would save the trouble of having to record to a click and then paste it in.

This is all very fun. I know the iPad is limited compared to a computer, but I've not had this much fun with a modeler in a while.
