BFG Destroyer 100 Watt Guitar Amplifier

3 channels Clean, Rhythm, Lead

Channel 1 is a Clean and does nice shimmering warm tones to gritty blues.
Bright switch has 2 modes, center off.

Channel 2 is a hard rocking rhythm channel that is reminiscent of a classic modded Marshall. It can go from JMP/Plexi era to aggressive modded with the guitar volume. It is not just another Jose mod...very different.
Bright switch has 2 modes, center off.
Saturation is available for channel 1 or 2 only and brings some added distortion between stages.

Channel 3 is the Lead channel and has the Deep and Growl controls for dialing in lows and highs early in the preamp. From extra sizzle to thunderous bottom end you have the controls to dial in what you need with any setup. From classic Rock to Metal, this channel can truly do it all. It also has modified tone controls to make this a very unique channel.

Presence control with a Shift toggle to dial in the frequency range that suits your setup.
Resonance control with a Tight/Loose toggle.
Foot switchable channels. Clean to Rhythm and Channel 1/2 to Channel 3 Lead.
Channel select toggle which is defeated by the foot switch.
Zero Loss FX loop with True Bypass and Line/Instrument level control.
Custom turret board construction.
DC Heaters for low noise floor.
PRP Resistors in critical preamp locations.
WIMA and IC coupling capacitors.

This amp has tons of attitude but still has lots of touch sensitivity and the feel that inspires you to play.

I will be demoing the amp for a few players in the PDX area soon and a few select RT members will be getting a chance to try it out as well. Just a few quick pics below, thanks for looking.

Looks great, best of all are the detailed channel descriptions of what it actually does.

If this is anything like your mods than I want/need it. What's the headshell look like? Looking forward to clips.

I like metal, but honestly (in my opinion) the font looks generic.

Damn dude....that looks sweet. I can wait to get my paws on it and peel some paint.

Amp looks cool Brian! How would you describe the Wima Caps versus the IC Polypropylene or polyester Caps.

Are Wima Caps Polyester Foil or Polypropylene? I would imagine the tone is quite Bognerish EH?

Thanks for the compliments. I will have clips in the next few weeks...just waiting for a vendor to ship a few parts so I can finish it completely and get it burned in. I'm working on a final price and just waiting on some quotes so I will have that soon as well. I'm finalizing the head shell design with my vendor but I'll post some pics when he sends some...it should look pretty cool. On the caps I chose Wima polypropylene based on how some other builds sounded and performed using them. I used the IC caps in the clean and rhythm tonestack just to be a bit different and have a bit of British flavor. I don't think the Wima caps sound "Bognerish"...they just reproduce the tone I like with this circuit the best. I'm excited to get this out there.

Is this loosely based off of any mods that you have done that clips may exist? I dig that angry beaver mod and Sykes mod you have done. Is this amp customizable at all?

Not any exact mod...I wanted to put out something a bit different but still in a style that's what I like...I didn't stray too far from the types of tones I like. I did design the layout to be versatile so I can use the design for other amps as well in the future to easily tweak or build new amps or I can have them made in batches or converted to PCB.

It's definately cool to see a few guys around here following their dream and making it reality.
