Guys,
I'm not sure if many of you have been following Tom Bukovac's Homeskoolin' series on YouTube. If you haven't, you're missing out. Ungodly talent and pure musicianship. Everyone can learn something from it.
Today Tom posted a clip that he made during a break at a studio session that blew my mind. It features an interview with a fellow session piano player named Gordon Mote. Gordon is blind and has the rare gift of perfect pitch. Friends and I always argue about talent. I always argue that talent is something you earn, not given. Stuff like this makes me question my thinking a little.
Do yourself a favor and watch this. If you consider yourself as a musician and not just a guitar player, you will enjoy it. Around the 18:55 mark, he plays a bit where he creates his own delay sound. Killer touch.
