Dudes, just picked up a stock 1998 JCM900 Dual Reverb 100W, and with just a little bit of overdrive turned up this bitch screams! I don't know why I've been buying all these modded Marshalls! This sounds as good or better than any I've ever played, and is running a close race with my other amps easily right now!!! Picked it up for a great price locally too. I HIGHLY recommend one of these to take care of your modded Marshall jones. Just get a good OD pedal and you're off to the races! Has killer reverb, f/x loop with level, tube fault indicator light, 2 channels and they're footswitchable. Can't say enough about this thing, so lemme hear ya stock Marshall hatas!  This thing whips the shit out of my past owned modded Marshalls! :D

Not sure if you're joking or not because everyone tears these things apart. However, I love the 900 Dual Reverb! My friend has one that beats his 800 and hangs with his Mark IV.

silverchairs old cranked 900 tone is among my favorite tones ever

i have a stock marshall kerry king that kills. but it's kinda a modded jcm800.....

but mine was infused with kerry's evil when he borrowed it. now, whatever i play on it comes out chromatic and outta key. :D

The guy in Tesla used a Modded 900 on their double CD of covers. It sounded great.

the first album is all jcm900, after that he switched to hotrod 100's

Man I see those all day for $500-600 but never played one, just the slx model which imo is a good sounding amp.

Well always looking to up the marshall count

I've only played one once, but it was enough to make the jazzer next to me get disgusted turn off his amp and walk away. That's good enough for me

Sounds like good reviews so far guys! Let's hear some more love about the 900's, the king of all Marshalls!!!

I had a 4100 dual reverb for a while. It really a good amp. A good OD and youre shreddin. But I dont know Id go as far as taling a 900 over a well modded 800 or jmp. But the 900 is a great value for sure. I never understood all the hate either.

I have owned one, I am not going into details but it was never my intent to own it. It was a way of collecting a unpaid debt back in 95'. ..... I agree it sounds better than most of the modified Marshall's I have heard. In fact much better.

Would I recommend this amp ? .... NO.

let's hear some clips of this beast. I know with some killer tubes it would really take it up a notch. Maybe it has great tubes and good bias. clips!

I think they're garbage and I've played a bunch of them. Sure they have gain, but the tone was junk to my ears.

Don't know what to say other than maybe I've got a magic OD, but I'm loving the shit out of it. To each his own I suppose, but I love killer tone for a cheap price!

CLIPS WILL HAPPEN, once I've got the damn time, but it's hard shoveling in all this cash all day!

This is what I've always thought too. Heard a lot of trashy tones from em and used to HATE those things until I heard my friend Eric's. Maybe I missed something he said and it's modded. Gonna find out...

I agree with you. I've been playing one for over a year now at the place where we rehearse (we rent by the hour). The room we get each week has a JCM900 and a Single Rec, both half stack. I've tried the Mesa a few times but I'm always coming back to the Marshall and the warmer the amp gets, the better it sounds! For me, I set the gain at noon and push it with a tube screamer if more gain is needed!

I really don't understand the bad rep the 900 series get over the internet. Anyway, Marshall re-issued the model and even Bugera now makes a copy of it!
