I'm still getting a lot of compliments on my tone with the Mod50. I come from a different musical background than most of the players on this forum. I'm in a band that does original, modern and classic country. I can nail Brent Mason/Albert Lee tones with the DLX on Ch.A. I set up Ch. B tone have a little crunch. I can cover Brad Paisley-SRV with this setup.
The SL can cover mild to scream depending on how I set it up. I had a chance to compare the VX to the SL this past weekend. For my taste the SL is more versatile. Ch. A of the VX does nail the slightly broken up TopBoost tone. I need to get one when/if the E2 becomes available.
I've never owned an amp that delivers like the Mod50. I can nail almost any tone I need on any gig. I need to try the BMAN to see how it compares to the SL. Since I play single coils it might be a better fit.
Bruce you're still the man
