Lots to like here but a pass. Comparatively, at the same price point you could get the Pete Thorn signature and get "genuine mahogany" vs. okoume (a cheaper "similar" to mahogany option) and the Wilkinson WVS locking bridge. I love the idea of the HSS in a thorn package, but based on the inputs, I feel like this should be cheaper than the thorn and looks like they will be priced the same.

I've had a few Suhr guitars, although never a custom ordered Suhr. I love them, I think they are fantastic guitars but I have learned that the combination of the 1.650 nut and the usual Suhr thickness starting @.80 is just tool small for me. It's not "uncomfortable" at all necessarily, but it could be more comfortable, great for single notes, arpeggios etc. but it always feels a little crowded when chording, particularly the first 6 frets or until the neck starts to widen out a bit...

1.687 nut is the way too go. You hardly ever see them. My two custom Moderns have a 1.687 and I can definitely tell the difference between the ones I've had with 1.650 ( I sold them all )

I'm with you, if the Suhrs I have had featured a wider neck, I dont think they would have left...

These are a variation on the Steve Lukather MusicMan guitars. Basically the same specs

I'm very tempted preorder one of these. I'm hoping I can get one in trans caramel with black emgs. I'm not a fan of the white ones or white pickups in general.
