Wow that is a really nice guitar! I wonder why Ibanez does not do more neck thru stuff. I like unique guitars like this because you know there are not to many others out there with the same guitar so it makes it that much more special.

Hell, I'd own a few more Ibanez RGs if they would bring back the dot inlays and finishes other than black & white. They have an ash 470 that I would love to get, but the damn shark tooth inlays just blow it for me. Maybe I'm getting old, but shark tooth inlays scream teenage metal head to me. I haven't been a teenager in 15 years, and I don't know anyone who would describe me as a "metal head." I love the RG body and the way the Wizard necks feel, but is it too much to ask for a grown up aesthetic to some of the RGs?

Sharkfin inlay is the best, IMO, but then again I'm a teenage metalhead (21 is still a teen, right?).

I've got a lower-end natty RG 7-string on it's way to me now.

there are quite a few with dot inlays actually. mostly in the prestige line i think.

I would rock the hell out of that thing! I had an early RG570 (four screw model) that I loved. Your new Ibby looks killer. I wish that I owned it. Congrats.

And that's the problem that I have. I don't want to drop the coin for another Prestige just to get dot inlays. I really would like another RG470, but I'm gonna have to pick one up off the bay to get dots. Ofcourse, I'll probably get an older one anyway so I can get the original Edge trem. The Edge III blows, IMHO.

i believe the RG321MH has dot inlays. the cheap one not the RGA321. it's like 300 bucks lol. it's the mahogany one available in the natural finish, or i think black or red also. it has a hardtail bridge. i played one in a store once - it didnt feel like my 520, but it felt pretty good for 275 or 300 dollars. i was thinking about getting one just to have an extra beater around with different p/u's in.
you might look at the cheaper RGA's too. i'd like to have about 4 or 5 more ibanez guitars lol. that new JS2400 looks pretty nice too.

What's the point of an RG without a trem?!!? I mean isn't that why you buy an RG, to do wammy bar gymnastics? lol! I have my Les Paul for all the non trem work that I do. I really wish that they would do a RG470 with dot inlays. I'd buy one in a heart beat. Like I said though, I'll probably pick up one of the early 90s MIJ 470s just for the original Edge trem. I love the Edge beyond even the OFR.
