I can say Ive spent many years switching between different strats, teles, les pauls, etc... never really felt completely at home with any of them. on a whim got an esp ltd ec-256. I love this thing right out of the box!! feels great, plays great, absolutely nothing to change and thats a 1st for me!! Heres a vid I did with the new EC-256!

Cool Darren. Nice to find an axe ya love that doesn’t break the wallet.

What is it about this guitar that you like over Les Pauls? Guitar looks great and you made it sound great, nice playing!

thanks man! I do like Les Pauls, but this is a bit thinner and lighter, which is a plus for me.

congrats
I felt the same way when I got my first kiesel

I totally get it. I got an old Spector NS2000/4 bass off Ebay a long time ago and it quickly became my favorite bass. I sold off my Warwicks, Carvins, Tobias', and everything else to only play Spectors, and I haven't looked back. Now I have a pair of American Spectors (Identical twins, only one is fretted and one is fretless) that I use as my main basses exclusively.

I have an ESP LTD H-400 that I'm going through that with now. I can't seem to find a guitar that I like as much as that one. If guitar playing gets real for me, I'll likely take the same route with ESP and get a custom shop.
