It’s coming together. In previous threads, I asked about preamps, rack cases, power supplies etc etc. I have been building around a SLO sound. Even though I have a SLO 100. I actually prefer the Caswell/soldano for ease and a multitude of tones from the Caswell preamp. The Fryette PS100 is the power section for that preamp. I recently asked here about the ADA vs JMP specifically for 80s lead tones. I went with the ADA and it has a great sound-still piddling with it though. Funny thing is when I had my first one back in early 90s; I couldn’t get it to do what I wanted. Maybe the tubes in the Soldano power amp are making it better now than what I recall or I just have an appreciation for tone now. I also run that Mesa 50/50 with the Axe FX2. The wet axe with the dry Caswell/Fryette is quite the duo. And pipe in the ADA MP1 for lead only. I have a show on sept 4 (memorial day) weekend which will be my first one since my buddy got killed at my last show in July.

As someone who’s trying to piece one together too, I can certainly see you’ve put a ton of time and effort in this and it looks amazing!!

Also that purple SLO poweramp is ?

At the onset of Covid I started playing a lot more seriously and am now very keen on tone. Before Covid I half assed it; idk. Maybe the virus plague has changed my thinking towards the importance of my music. The racks seem to do it for me. The SLO100 is my sound. BUT…. Mixing with the Caswell and the Axe changes it just enough to not be a clone. I have never had a sound that is so good it keeps me playing for hours. It feels good to finally get there.. however, I still look and gas for anything and everything. ?. Maybe one day I’ll get a lexicon rack unit. I’m pretty pleased now. Thanks for helping.

I have a lexicon rack unit and bad news, it doesn’t stop there ??

Great looking setup! Lots of amazing tone in there! Wishing you best of luck at the gig!

Very nice! Great work on the rack! Fwiw,if rack gear, such as what you have there,is serviced and maintained, that gear will actually keep right up with anything out there today....and blow some the gear today out of the water.
