Monomyth 5 GAIN STAGE Prototype circuit. This thing has a SHIT LOAD of gain. The gain on these clips was around 1 o'clock. LOL
In the lead clip I tried to show off the sustain this thing has, which is really sick. Effects are an H90 thats not tweaked for this amp but you should get the point. This was just a one off phone clip but hopefully the balls this thing has will translate over.
Donor amp is a 1971 SB with a loop added. 5th gain stage is added with a toggle and it will go down to 3 stage. The low input actually retains the characteristics of what a converted SB to SL spec as far as tone goes. That will do 1 stage or 3. Shea did it right and was able to keep the vibe of an early metal panel. Its a monster for sure!

I think if you're going for that 80s sound you definitely nailed it!!

Well the riffs ok... but this is definitely NOT an 80's amp for sure. Waaay too much gain and the bottom end is huge. If I get a chance i'll do another clip with something more modern. Only other amp i've heard with this amount of gain is a Hermannson.

The fx you had running make it sound 80’s no matter what. That lead clip fired up and the fx sound straight off of Screaming for Vengeance or Don’t Break the Oath. The tone however is different, not quite 80’s but also not modern. Seems pretty cool and no doubt that was a ton of sustain.

Lead tones are killer but the rhythm sounds messy. Too much gain making the notes blur into each other.

Yes that's it, it is the fx that made it sound very 80s. But yes also more gain than brown sound
