Guys and gals... i just happen to get a very well used Twin jet off ... it arrived two days ago and all was well... very clean amp and it came with Ruby Shuguang KT88 STR... and all China 12ax7B... i was checking the external biasing and according to the bogner manual it stated somewhere 28mV which translates to 28mA? am i hearing this wrong or right as this came off from Bogner manual...
i then adjusted to somewhere higher at 40mV = 40mA and wanted more like 50mA per tube but i found the external biased pot had reached its max? is this normal which what the Twin jet guys are also experiencing? do i need to change the biasing resistor for a higher bias point or other wise?
