Think maybe Sambora listened to this tune?

What do you think? This band was from the 80's, from NJ, and this tune came out before Wanted. If you knew the old scene back then, you knew damm well that Sambora probably knew of these guys or saw them. Heck, Zakk Wylde got his break while jamming with this band when they were doing covers.

But maybe not a ripoff as the songs are different. But I hear an aweful lot of inspiration.

 
Hmm. Maybe. Hard to say. Always a lot of parroting in music. Cool tune by the way.
 
Aside from them both using a 12 string where are the similarity's? The melody is completely different.

Prophet was just before my time, I'm 40, but Edgar Cayce was going strong. Kenny Dubman is a monster. It was players like him, Dave DiPietro, Steve Brown, Bob Spec, and Zack that pushed a very tight and competitive music scene to much higher levels of musicianship!!!
 
It may have inspired him... Like he may have listened to it, tried to work it out, and then found something different, which became Wanted...

Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. There are only so many combinations of chords and melodies at the end of the day.
