Hey guys, I have a few stomp boxes, as can be seen in my sig, and I pretty much have what I "need" but I would still like to have a wide array of fx available to me without breaking the bank. The Line 6 M9 seems like a pretty cool unit, and my question is, are those any good? I used to have a line 6 floor pod plus, and the fx on that weren't all that great, would the M9 be a step up from that? And also, how is harmonizer effect on this unit? Is it usable?

Thanks!

I just sold almost all of my pedals in favor of the M9. So far, I am very happy with it. I am just getting into it, but I really like the sounds and the interface.

I just picked up an M13 that I was going to use at the house instead of having a bunch of pedals around. After working with it for the last few weeks I decided to make it my primary pedalboard. Still working on programming it and getting my scenes up to par but the effects are amazingly good for being a digital unit trying to replicate 100's of stompboxes. The versatility sold me after I started using it. I am still using an external tuner and a Morley wah with it. Other than that I use it for everything else. Replaced a 1/2 dozen other pedals and gave me more flexibility.

I have a few rehearsals coming up and will be using at those to tweak it and then will use it in July for a few gigs that are lined up.

I am using the M13 with an external SD1 and external wah. Its pretty awesome. Never felt the need for an external tuner?

I am using a Polytune in front of the M13. I don't like the loud volume pop when coming out of the tuner with the M13.

Good move, sir. You won't be disappointed. I was able to dump several pedals that more or less paid for the M9. I run it in front of my amp and I think it sounds great. Definitely consider an expression pedal. The whammy sound are very good, as are the wahs. I'm not a fan of the OD/dirt, but I have a pedal for OD and my amp for heavy distortion so I'm all set.

Yeah I think I will definitely pick up an expression pedal down the road. Out of the pedals I have, I think I will probably keep them all, but I think I few of them very well may get a bit less use... I tried the M9 at GC today and I loved it. I am excited to get using the smart harmony effect on there

Do you put it in the loop or out front?

S'actually one of the bonus features--if you have that ONE stompbox you just can't live without you can integrate it with the M9/M13, and there's plenty of inputs for expression pedals.

Cheers,

Race
